Deal or Discount: Mass Market paperbooks are priced at half of the printed price of the book, and trade credit can be used to pay for a portion of the books.
We are located in historic downtown Terrell in the old Iris Movie Theatre building, built in 1925. We are mostly used books, and we take gently used books in trade. We have almost 100,000 books in stock in all genres, and 2 bookstore kitties that have a BIG fan club!! We share our building with Silhouette Consignment Boutique (an upscale ladies consignment shop) and a smaller version of The Iris Theatre. In the Iris, we show classic movies and perform live theatre. Our goal is to provide a quaint place of peace in a busy world and to help our customers with their reading choices.

Hotel Tips

Ask to be placed opposite of any roadways. Road noise can be a constant source of pollution which may not be a noticeable problem during the day but reveals itself at night. Don't be afraid to request a room change to get a better sleep.

Ask to be shown a room before you check-in which signals the front desk agent to show the best room available to sell it right away. This can put you in the best room available at that time and gives you the ability to check for cleanliness, smells and sounds before transacting with the hotel.

Call ahead to make sure your reservation is still active and rebook if there are any price drops or changes in number of people staying with you. Another cost saving tips is to bundle the stay with airport parking and shuttle to avoid hefty fees.

Things To Do

Terrell gives several options to find the right piece of art as it takes time and a diligent effort to get just the right piece. Shopping for art downtown is the best way to locate your next purchase.

Terrell has so many great reasons to shop downtown as local merchants have come together to offer a wide selection of artisan gifts and foods that you are sure to find something for everyone on your shopping list of gifts. Shopping options are plentiful and all inventory is hand selected by the shop owner and then yourself so you are sure to find something special that has your style and likes in mind.

Terrell helps you expand your skills and learn some new ways to expand your artisan flare? Sign up for classes at your kitchen supply store, yarn shop, art and craft shop and photo gallery. You'll be having great fun with your new friends as you you take on that next project.

Why Do You Love Downtown?

Jennifer Moranda
Planning my first trip.

Heather
Community, responsiblity, friends who feel like family. Every downtown has it's own culture, something not experienced in the mall or at big box stores. Merchants are the cornerstone of our local economies.

Terri Simon
I love to dine at the Inn and to shop at specialty shops.

Debbie Kimpel
We are coming in August to visit . My husband is related to Esther, the town was named after. We would like to visit some Historial areas there and also visit the downtown area as well.

Darby
Visiting in July for the 1st time!
